Lightroom and the Fujifilm X-T5

One thing that is super important to know about the Fujifilm X-T5 is that it is a new model! When you shot in Raw on a Fujifilm camera the file is titled RAF. This file unfortunately doesn’t let you preview it from the computer until you put it on a adobe program. I recommend shooting in Raw+Fine so you still get Raw format but you are also able to view the photo when transferring it from a memory card.

When you use Adobe lightroom with files from a Fujifilm X-T5 you must have it updated to at least Version 12.0. If not, the files simply will not load into Lightroom otherwise. This goes the same for other adobe applications as well.

There are some people that recommend using other applications like CaptureOne. I’ve been told that this processes the files better. From experience though, I found that Lightroom is honestly fine.
