Why Networking Is Essential as a Photographer!

When starting out photography, it made me realize I didn’t know many people. As someone who found love in shooting portraits I found myself taking photos of my sister over and over again. Even though I had different concepts I really was looking for diversity. This is when I realized that there is a concept called networking! The definition of networking i’m talking about is “the action or process of interacting with others to exchange information and develop professional or social contacts.” Yes, this means you have to interact with people. Which for me was hard, but from this I actually made friends with photographers and models I still work with today!

Here are some styled shoots I did while working with other photographers and models!

Styled Shoot at Little Sahara

This image was republished by VSCO!

When I first got to this styled shoot, I was introduced to a model I’ve never met before. The planner of the style shoot said to shoot some senior pictures. Well, as you can tell we took this “senior pictures” to the next level! I love that I can add my own style to shoots. Someone may shoot the same subject and place but could come out with a whole different image!

Styled Shoot at Tunnel Spring Park

I loved this shoot! I got to do this along side some photographers I met at school! We each contributed makeup, outfits, props!
